Project Summary
According to a report of world health organization (WHO), about 1.27 million people lost their lives in 2009 due to the road accidents and it was the ninth major reason of deaths. The vehicle–to-vehicle communication system (V2V) is one of the solutions to decrease the accident ratios. In Pakistan currently no such idea is in practice. In Japan, Europe and America this concept is about to complete its implementation phase. Our main focus in this research project is the proposition of Multi-RAT based V2V communication in our city Mirpur. In this project we are going to practically implement V2V communication system to overcome the road accidents and traffic collisions. Our system is based on three main modules: 1. Smart application to share ((long, lat), speed, and heading) of vehicle to evade the accident possibilities. The literature review of smart application are discussed in section 1.2 and proposed system disused in section 1.3 1.1 Smart engine enabled with emotions to generate fear in vehicle to maintain a suitable distance using Richerdson’s Arms Race Model. We will discuss it further in detail in section 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. 2. More than one communication links like (WiFi IEEE 802.11 g/n and CDMA2000) for reliable communication link according to the unpredictable RF environment at vehicular speed. The literature review and proposed system is discussed in section 2.1 and 2.2 respectively
